Industry Visit To Burberry

Visual Merchandising is the vital technique used by labels as a marketing practice to fascinate the customers, it revolves around hues, floor plans, window display, in-store display techniques, lightning, interiors etc. and is one of the prime modules of the Fashion Business courses at FAD.

Practical leaning experience plays a dominant role and students received an opportunity to visit the opulent Burberry Store at the Dubai Mall for an industry visit as a part of their course curriculum at FAD.

Students were accompanied by their mentor Rafi Nisaar - ormer Visual Merchandising Manager, Coach | Burberry | Majid Al Futtaim | Landmark Group, Visual Merchandising Consultant & Creative Specialist.

During the industry visit, the students took a tour of the Burberry store, the walls of which were drenched in neutral hues complimented with darker furnishings and fixtures. They were while assisted by brand’s team and their mentor, discussing the details, how the heritage brand focuses on displaying each product category in a versatile yet crisp manner, building brand-customer relations, visual merchandising and window display techniques.

Covering the checkpoints of comfort and style the brand embodies supreme quality silhouettes, fragrances, eyewear, accessories and footwear. The Visual Merchandising technique for Burberry is primarily to develop creative, fine and minimalistic designs to delight the customer’s imagination and curiosity with an overall aesthetic experience in-store.
