Commercial Shoot with American Rag Cie

At FAD, Commercial Styling forms a part of the Certificate in Fashion Styling, where students immerse in real-world fashion scenarios, focusing on retail promotions, advertising, and brand campaigns.

In their recent shoot, students collaborated with American Rag Cie, a multi-brand store known for its curated collections of established and emerging designers. This provided them with the perfect platform to create commercially-driven fashion-forward looks, under the mentorship of Creative Director Katerina Nikolaeva.

The looks featured a mix of high-fashion and everyday staples: statement jackets, bold prints, and contemporary silhouettes paired with timeless classics like crisp shirts and perfectly fitted t-shirts. Versatile pieces like retro-printed skirts and deep-hued denim were combined with standout accessories—scarves, sneakers, boots, pumps, and minimalist jewellery.

These projects are crucial for students to gain a holistic understanding of the commercial fashion landscape, learning how to balance their creativity with the goals of brands, all while preparing for their future careers as industry professionals.
