FAD's Luxury Brand Management students step work on a live project with Tarun Tahiliani, giving students immersive experience in luxury retail - from location scouting to visual merchandising and marketing.
In the ever-evolving world of fashion, there is no substitute for real-world experience. FAD Dubai is committed to giving its students unparalleled opportunities to work alongside industry icons, and their latest project with Indian couture house Tarun Tahiliani, is a testamant to that.
Students of the Luxury Brand Management course, crafted their projects around the proposed retail expansion for Tarun Tahiliani in Dubai, encompassing several key aspects, from location scouting to visual merchandising and marketing strategies.
The project began with extensive location scouting to determine the ideal setting for a brand like Tarun Tahiliani. Students from FAD Dubai learned how to balance learning how to expertly balance brand prestige with visibility and accessibility. By visiting key retail spaces in Dubai and assessing prime  factors like visibility,  foot traffic and proximity to luxury brands, the students gained a hands-on understanding of what makes a location strategic in the regional luxury market.
The project didn’t just stop at strategy - it brought creative ideas to life. Students designed an engaging retail activation plan, including exclusive events and influencer collaborations to build buzz around the launch. Students learned how to leverage digital marketing, PR, and in-store experiences to create a memorable launch that would not only attract customers but also leave a lasting impression.
They also developed a striking visual merchandising concept, showcasing Tarun Tahiliani’s signature craftsmanship with window displays and store layouts to attract customers. This involved experimenting with materials, lighting and spatial arrangement to ensure that the presentation told a story.
This project not only enhanced students’ understanding of luxury fashion but also ignited their creativity, preparing them for their future in the fashion industry.
