FAD recently partnered with Richemont Group for a student project titled 'The Shift in Luxury Consumption - The Influence of Gen Z on the Luxury Market'.

A global leader in craftsmanship, heritage, and innovation, Richemont Group is home to prestigious maisons including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Chloé, and Piaget. The Group continues to shape the luxury landscape with its culture-driven and forward-thinking vision.

Students from FAD’s Luxury Brand Management and Fashion Business programmes took part in the project, developing strategic insights and tailored business solutions for the UAE luxury market. With Gen Z expected to drive 40% of global luxury spending by 2035, students explored evolving consumer preferences, assessed market trends, and proposed actionable strategies aligned with Richemont’s brand ethos and in-depth competitor analysis.

FAD had the honour of hosting an esteemed jury from Richemont Group for the project finale. The panel included Caroline Dryland, Talent Partner; James Macnab, Talent Manager; Rania Fakhoury, Talent Partner for Fashion Maisons; and Laura Quirke, Regional Talent Director for the Middle East. Their presence brought invaluable insights and mentorship, greatly enriching the student experience.

Out of 50 participants, Team Time & Motion was declared the winner, impressing the jury with a compelling, strategically driven presentation. As a reward, the winning team attended an exclusive event presenting to the CEO & Senior Management of Richemont Group - offering direct exposure to industry leaders and an insider’s view of one of the world’s most influential luxury conglomerates.

Projects like this reflect FAD’s ongoing commitment to preparing the next generation to lead in a rapidly evolving luxury market.
