Salvatore Ferragamo Museum hosts FAD Talents

FAD Students visited the Salvatore Ferragamo Atelier & Archives in Florence during the Europe Fashion Tour 2023.

Industry visits and constant interactions with insiders is be the bridge between theoretical learning and practical application. As part of the guided Europe Fashion Tour experience for FAD Students, one of the halts was the mesmerizing yet cultural city of Florence in Italy. Here, the students received an opportunity to visit the timeless Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, its atelier & archives.

The museum was founded in 1995 and is dedicated to the life, creative and artistic qualities of the Italian shoe designer moreover honoring his vital role in shaping the global footwear industry.


The visit commenced with a guided tour of the majestic atelier, while imbibing the origin, history, lineage and works of the brand. Known as the “Shoes maker of the stars”, Salvatore Ferragamo has over 400 footwear patents on his name.

The students witnessed the opulence and grandeur of the iconic fashion house and its celebrated footwear, clothing and accessories. Valuable experiences like these enable students to understand and respect the luxury fashion industry even more before stepping into it.
