Styling students develop a commercial shoot for Bouguessa through a industry-led project.

As part of their Commercial Styling module, FAD Styling students worked on a live shoot for Bouguessa under the mentorship of renowned stylist Katerina Nikolaeva.
The project allowed students to experience the making of a professional fashion shoot, translating Bouguessa’s refined ready-to-wear identity into a contemporary commercial styling story. Known for its sharp tailoring and understated femininity, the brand offered students a strong visual language to interpret with intention.

Rather than styling around excess, the students explored restraint as a creative tool. Through tonal layering, sculptural silhouettes and a palette of cream, ivory, charcoal, deep brown and accents of crimson, they developed looks that reflected Bouguessa’s refined simplicity and modern elegance. Draped scarves were reworked as headpieces, transforming minimal textiles into statement styling details.
FADTalents experienced the realities of working on set, from interpreting a brand brief and building cohesive looks to collaborating with photographers, models, makeup artists and the wider creative team.
Live projects like this create direct access to industry environments, allowing emerging stylists to understand how creative concepts are developed, refined and executed for real brands. Through mentorship, collaboration and hands-on production experience, FADTalents continue to build the creative discipline and industry readiness required to move confidently into the fashion world.
