Retail giant Splash awards a regional emerging designer for their RTW SS22 collection.
FAD showcases 6 emerging designers including FAD students & alumni across Middle East & India - CMYKAY, HOUSE OF DK, STHALA, AREEJ RIMAWI, HEBA SAMOUL & GHADA BEN SAAD. The runway show hosted at IMG Worlds Dubai as part of Fashion Week DXB was an amplified amalgamation of chic street style silhouettes and diversified hues.

AREEJ RIMAWI
Areej Rimawi’s showcase was a debonair vision of petite yet revitalizing florals dipped in subtle as well as blazing hues! Covering an array of silhouettes from wrap dresses to flared midi’s to relaxed fit coordinates to capes , the collection made us crave for summer already!
HEBA SAMOUL
Next up was Heba Samoul whose exquisite collection covered street wear to contemporary fashion where one could see glimpses of quirky hoodie dresses in eccentric fushia to color blocked jumpsuits in muted undertones. A virtuoso yet beguiling blend of best of both categories while keeping its core firm as the incessant power of basics!
GHADA BEN SAAD
Ghada Ben Saad showcase was a simplistic way out which screams minimalism is the new age classic! From relaxed fit coordinates to easy-breezy silhouettes with flared hemline were blended in earthy tones making us realize the significance of soothing silhouettes above the complex structures.
CMYKAY
CMYKAY came as a revitalizing breeze with a rainbow of hues. The collection was a splendor combination of geometric cuts and surface ornamentation techniques. The contemporary showcase had a wide variety of silhouettes from solid sheath dresses with vibrant cape to relaxed fit coordinates to power blazers with monotone jumpsuits blended in sunset and whimsical hues.
HOUSE OF DK
By incorporating the brand’s design aesthetics in organic cotton corduroy, House Of DK kept functionality and comfort as the prime elements in their athleisure exhibit. From oversized graphic tees to cargo trousers to rugged corduroy coordinate styled with fanny packs, caps and boots were infused in muted as well as vibrant hues.
STHALA
Sthala’s exhibit was an enticing take on botanical prints inculcated on the quintessential denim fabric! It was not only super pleasing to the eye but the intricate details spoke louder than words could! From befitted coordinates to flared dresses to capes to bib and brace overalls, the collection covered each bracket of casual wear!

With a vision to support young & regional talent, Splash awarded one of FAD’s regional emerging students, Areej Rimawi, for her RTW SS22 collection. Areej will receive an opportunity to intern and receive insights into being commercially viable, furthering her creative vision for the region and possibly conceiving a capsule collection in the near future for retail, under the guidance of the team at Splash.
