COURSE OVERVIEW

The One-Year Advanced Certificate in Fashion Design is a comprehensive introductory program that lays the foundation for a successful career in the global fashion industry. This certificate is ideal for aspiring designers who want to develop strong creative, technical, and professional skills through guided learning and immersive studio practice.
 

In this program, students are introduced to core fashion design principles, with a focus on creative thinking and the design development process. They explore the journey from 2D design concepts to 3D garment creation, enhancing both their technical proficiency and creative expression. The course emphasizes building foundational knowledge of fashion design, textile materials, garment construction, and digital design tools.

Through a combination of hands-on training and portfolio development, students begin crafting their own design identity while gaining industry-relevant experience in pattern drafting, sewing techniques, and garment development.

By the end of the program, students design and produce a capsule collection.

• The SQA qualification of the program allows students to transfer the credits they have achieved and progress to the second & third year at a range of international universities in UK, UAE, US & Europe, upon successful completion of the program.​

The SQA qualification of the program allows students to transfer the credits they have achieved and progress to the second & third year of a bachelors program at a range of international universities across UK, UAE, US & Europe, upon successful completion of the program.​

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

12th Grade / A Level / IB Diploma or equivalent. 10th Grade / GCSE / MYP with a foundation in fashion may also be considered.

QUALIFICATION HONORED

Advanced Certificate in Fashion Design & Manufacture by SQA (UK Qualification). 

Attendance certificates for this course are attested by KHDA (Knowledge & Human Development Authority).
