BUILDING A FASHION BRAND - BY HOUSE OF SŌHN

 Masterclass by Sohni Patel on the ups and downs of building a brand, finding its identity and the power of story-telling.

Sohni  Patel  is the founder and creative director of the fashion label House of Sōhn. With a degree in Psychology and Business, Sohni followed her passion for art and design to Paris where she worked as a forecast and trend consultant anticipating change, building innovative strategies and nurturing creative territories in the realm of fashion, luxury and art of living. 

After several years of immersive art history courses in Paris, honing technical skills at Parsons, The New School of Design in New York and summers learning the art of draping at the London College of Fashion in London, Sohni worked with the design teams of Nanette Lepore, Marchesa by Georgina Chapman and Duro Olowu experiencing everything from the textiles and design process to the intricacies of their PR strategies. 

After the travels, the experiences and the education, Sohni followed her heart back home to Bombay where she founded the contemporary women’s label that was created to tell inspiring stories about art and culture through the medium of fabric. 

As designer and founder, Sohni will touch on topics from sustainability to building brand loyalty, all while staying true to the creative process.
